I have to admit that it’s always a little bit awkward pulling a camera out in a public restroom but sometimes I just can’t help myself. Having a phone with a camera makes it much easier and quicker. This was from Antone’s in Austin, TX.
It’s always a privilege and a pleasure to spend time photographing these two special friends. Their generosity and kind spirit transform light and pixels into honest images. Thanks.
I used to have a great little studio in Salem, MA on the top floor of a three story building. The store front was Alex’s Hair Salon. Mary Ann was a hair stylist there and she agree to sit for me. My first series of her were of the reflected images in the glass. For the second portrait, I had her sit behind the window with the slides projected in front and behind.
I came upon these brothers on South Congress Street in Austin, TX in front of a hat shop.
I’m probably not the first person with a camera to request a picture.
